Waste Management & Circularity
Key performance indicators to track progress toward OP's ESG goals for Waste Management & Circularity, focusing on reducing waste generation and enhancing recycling, reuse, and treatment of waste.
Waste Recylced, Reused or Treated
Percentage of waste generated from response operations that is recycled, reused, or treated, avoiding landfill disposal.
Waste Reduction
Percentage of reduction in waste generated from own operations.

Water Resource Conservation
OP actively monitors and manages its water withdrawal and consumption as part of its sustainability and ESG commitments. Given that Oman is classified as a water-stressed country, all water consumption is considered as water-stressed consumption, and OP ensures responsible water use while aiming for an annual 3% reduction in water consumption.

Air Pollution Control
NOx, SOx, and PM Emissions
NOx, SOx, and PM emissions are estimated using GSO standard emission factors for diesel and gasoline combustion, with actual fuel consumption data derived from IVMS systems installed on our vehicles. GSO's current standard is equivalent to Euro 4 for light-duty vehicles (cars and small trucks) and Euro III for heavy-duty vehicles (trucks and buses).

Water Pollution Prevention
Values are derived from spill response operation records, ensuring accurate tracking of compliance with statutory response time frames, pollutants removed and prevented from entering the marine environment. This data directly supports the ESG goal of ``Prevent environmental contamination from spills`` by demonstrating effective spill management and environmental protection efforts.
Marine Spills Response Time
Percentage of Marine Spill Notifications Responded to Within EA Specified Response Timeframe of 6–10 hours in mainland Oman.
Marine Environment Cleanup
Volume of pollutants removed from the marine environment (MT)
Marine Pollution Prevention
Volume of pollutants prevented from migrating to the marine environment (MT)
